Makabi Nights packs a punch;
fans root for the Indian cricket team
The sports frenzy State was also hosting the 37th National Games and tourists and sports fans got enjoyment worth their money.
The Fern Kadamba Hotel at Old Goa ensured the fans enjoyed the match on the giant screen with Makabi and Yagawilde adding a dash of the Goan spirit to the electrifying moment on screen.
“We are happy to host the Makabi Nights at our property with the India cricket team taking on England in the ICC World Cup match, and our guests enjoying every single moment on the giant screen,” said Mr Rajeev Kumar, AGM of The Fern Kadamba Hotel & Spa who is an avid cricket fan.
The wide array of Makabi cocktails was a delight for some as others enjoyed the Yagawilde shots. As the cricket match progressed the Indian team faced a daunting task to bowl on a tricky wicket. The fans at the Makabi Nights erupted with joy as Indian bowlers scalped wickets at regular intervals to edge close to a sensational win.
The bartender kept busy with Makabi and Yagawilde emerging a favourite Goan spirit of the guests present that day.
“The “Funny Tingles” and “Wild Knight” cocktail is excellent. I had to taste the drink before serving and I was pleasantly surprised at the distinct Goan coconut flavour in Makabi which is divine for those enjoying Goa and its culture,” said Rangopalan.
“I have been churning out cocktails but the Makabi coconut white rum is a good base to build a signature cocktail. I have made one for our guest and he liked it. I will promote the Makabi brand along with Yagawilde which is an excellent combination,” informed Rangopalan.
The guests present not only enjoyed a fantastic game of cricket as the Indian bowlers ruled the day with an emphatic win but they also bought the Makabi bottles to celebrate with friends and family.
“The “Wild Knight” may come across to you as a dark night but we spell it with a “K” and you will have a lot of “wild knights” having fun at Makabi Nights. My recommendation is “Serious Trouble” which promises to be one of the best cocktails in town,” informed Mr Mario Sequeira, Director of Tonia Group.
“We had a good time and I could not miss out on mentioning Yagawilde which is light on the palette and has a very distinctive taste. I am buying a couple of bottles for my friends back home,” informed Pravin who was on a visit to Goa.
“ We have churned out some of the best cocktails with India’s best mixologists involved in putting this together,” informed Mario.
“The Tonia Group was established well back in 1971 by my father and we are very proud of our heritage which started with Feni the local drink,” informed Mario.
“I feel today we have arrived with some great brands and are ready to go internationally,” said Mario on an optimistic note.
Goa is well known for its famous Feni but there are a whole lot of brands like Makabi that are geared up to engage the taste buds of Indians all over the country and even international markets.
These brands may be little known yet but are sure to invade the space large brands occupy in the times to come. Makabi has a clear vision to become a leader in the segment of cocktail mixes with its great recipe of coconut white rum.
“Makabi is creativity with Goaness. It was my father’s ambition to give the Goans and tourists something related to coconut. Today Makabi is all set to win the hearts of partygoers.” informed Mario.
India’s top tourist destination Goa is known for its high standard of hospitality indeed expressed in great local produce. Today an emerging Coconut White Rum brand, Makabi and Yagawilde a product of one of Goa’s most reputed liquor manufacturers, Tonia Liquor Industries is all set to grow globally.
The flavourful drink Makabi is a great product coming from the sons of the soil of Goa.
“Our lives are going to change with Makabi Nights! It's more fun nights to party, fun nights to enjoy and fun nights to bring out the essence of Goa,” informed Mario.
